George John Piltz, 95, of Kent, passed away Monday, February 27, 2012 at Woodlands At Robinson in Ravenna.
He was born December 30, 1916 in Patterson, NJ to George J. and Tillie (Nemeth) Piltz. He was a veteran of the Navy during the World War II.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working in the yard, and playing cards with friends and family.
He is survived by sons: George (Barbara) Piltz Jr. of Kent, Jack (Cheryl) Piltz of Tallasse, TN, Joe (Louise) Piltz of Ravenna, Jim (Kim) Piltz of Kent; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Frances ( Mittendorf); sisters, Katherine Justice and Teresa Derry, and brother, Joseph Piltz.
Calling hours will be held 6-8 PM Thursday, March 1st at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home 628 West Main Street, Kent. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 AM Friday March 2nd at St. Patrick Church with Father Richard Pentello officiating. Burial will be held at Standing Rock Cemetery.
