Frank Uyek, 92, of Kent, died Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at his home.

He was born October 9, 1919 in Fairpoint to Mike and Mary (Kuzek) Uyek. He was a veteran of the Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Northfield VFW. He retired from GM/TEREX in Hudson.

He is survived by sons, Robert C. (Miriam) Uyek of Garrettsville and James (Patricia A.) Uyek of Hudson; daughter, Patricia J. Uyek of Kent; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Phil) Bongiovanni, Joshua, Steven, James and David Lee; great granddaughters, Anna and Lillian; brothers, Raymond Uyek of Cleveland and John Uyek Garfield Hts. He was preceded in death by his wife, Genevieve Nowasadzki; brothers, Mike Uyek, Joseph Uyek, William Ujek, and Edward Uyek; and sisters, Elizabeth Wesley and Josephine Juriga.

Memorial services will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, February 4th at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Houck officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the services.
