Stephen J. Paulus was born May 25, 1957 and was tragically lost on December 3, 2017 in a plane crash.

Steve was born in Akron to Roy & Jeannie Paulus. A veteran of the United States Air Force, he served in Texas, Germany and Nevada. His career in electrical work began in the Air Force and continued into his own business and finally to Portage Lakes Career Center where he was an Electrical Instructor.

Steve loved to share his knowledge and teach. He developed a love for flying later in life, even building his first airplane himself. He was always excited to share in his hobby and welcomed questions.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 39 years, Kim Paulus; his sons, Mark (Rose) Paulus and Luke Paulus; his mother, Jeannie Paulus; and seven brothers, Dale (Marissa) Paulus, John (Anna) Paulus, Bruce Paulus, Joe (Delia) Paulus, Tim Paulus, Wayne (Cathy) Paulus, and Dan (Annette) Paulus; and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Steve's life will be held 2-5 PM Saturday, December 9th at St. Peter of The Fields Church, 3487 Old Forge Road, Rootstown. In honor of Steve's wishes, he will be cremated at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home and Crematory. Memorial contributions may be made to Animal Protective League, 8122 Infirmary Road, Ravenna, OH 44266
