Patricia Allen Gandee, 58, our dearly beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend to all she touched, of Randolph Township, passed away on Monday, January 22nd, 2018, after a long and courageous 6 year battle with breast cancer.

She was born May 23rd, 1959 in Akron, to William Charles and Dorothy Ann (Thomas) Allen.

Patty, "PJ", worked 30 years in the dental field as a dental assistant, during which time she attended Case Western Reserve and achieved her certification as a dental EFDA. The last 25 years of her career was spent working along side Dr. John Graef D.D.S.
Patty's most passionate love of her life was her 7 grandchildren. Grammy enjoyed crafts and hobbies with her grandchildren as well as gardening and decorating her home with her DIY creativity. Her second love was her dog and constant companion since she retired 6 years ago, Sonny, aka Butter, Bootstraps, and a host of other nicknames she came up with.

She is survived by her husband, Kevin Gandee, whom she married on February 3rd, 1979; son, Kevin Anthony Gandee of Randolph Township; daughters, Angela Christine (Mike) Dadich of Green, and Maria Danielle Heavner of Green; Seven grandchildren; sisters, Ann (Jesse) White of Alliance, Cindy (David) Wyse of Kent and Marcy (Stuart) North of Saratoga Springs, NY; mother, Dorothy (Thomas) Allen of Kent; life long friend, Carleen Purtill Lostoski. She was preceded in death by her father, William Charles Allen, and daughter, Katherine Faye Gandee.

Calling hours will be held 1-4 PM Friday, January 26th at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home in Kent. Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM Friday, January 26th at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home with Jesse White officiating. A Celebration of Life will take place immediately after the service at the The Elks Club of Kent 2265 Erie Street Kent.
