Donald W. Shilling, 86, of Kent, died Thursday, May 17, 2018, at UH Portage Medical Center in Ravenna.

He was born March 20, 1932 in Massillon to Willis F. and Olivia Edna (Baskey) Shilling. He attended Lake Brady United Methodist Church. Don was a loving minister to all. He was pastor at churches in Justus and Pigeon Run, a mission church he helped to build in Lexington, then to Independence, campus ministry at Kent State, Mentor, Firestone Park in Akron, and District Supervisor residing in Mt. Vernon. He dearly loved his family. He will be sorely missed by all.

He is survived by his wife, Waneta (Williams) Shilling, whom he married on June 13, 1954; sons, Mark (Sandy) Shilling of Kent and Philip Shilling of Kent; grandsons, Chris Shilling and Erik Shilling; brother, Ralph (Marie Claire) Shilling of Florida; and sister, Jane Mazon of Massillon.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 22 at Lake Brady United Methodist Church with Pastor Tina Nees officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the services. Memorial contributions may be made to Lake Brady United Methodist Church, 1995 Brady Lake Road, Brady Lake OH 44211.
