Beverly (DeLong) Gibbs was born September 26, 1930 in Akron, Ohio and entered eternity on September 21, 2017. Bev was a loving compassionate person who shared her talents and time with others. Bev's hobbies included painting flowers and landscapes, walking in the woods, and drives in the country. She loved working in her flower garden and always had fresh flower arrangements in her home. Bev was a happy, passionate person who lived each day to the fullest and was grateful for her wonderful life.

She graduated from Buchtel High School and attended the University of Akron, and Akron Art Institute. In 1952 Beverly and Everett Gibbs Jr. were married, and have celebrated 65 years of loving and happy marriage this year. Her favorite memories were of vacations at Wells Beach, Maine walking hand and hand with Everett on the beach, and watching her children and grandchildren playing in the dunes.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, James and Pauline DeLong; brothers, Lewis and Raymond Oatley; in-laws, Everett Sr. and Katherine Gibbs; and sisters-in-law, Julianne and Shirley Oatley, and Joyce (Gibbs) King.

Bev's greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her husband, Everett; son, James Gibbs; daughter, Kristina (Eric) Manfredi; grandchildren, Mia and Tristan Manfredi, plus many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Cremation has taken place at Bev's request. A private interment will take place for immediate family only at Randolph Hillside Cemetery at a later date.
