Condolence & Memory Journal

Dan and I met John when our daughter Danielle got engaged to his son John. He was a very special and funny man and fit right in with our crazy family. His love for his children and grandchildren was very evident. Dan and I were privileged to spend time with him at the birthday parties of our grandchildren, Ava and Liam. He enjoyed sitting back and just watching them open all their gifts, always smiling. We also shared a few holidays with him. He even brought gifts for our other grandchildren, and he always brought some yummy food to share!. We decided to play canasta after dinner, and found out that he was definitely the expert! Our hope is that you will all hold on to your wonderful memories of him, and realize the impact he had on your life and the lives of others. We are praying for all of you in the coming weeks. Don't hesitate to reach out for help to the people that love you.

My brother, my friend, I will miss you. I thank you for long conversation on any old topic. You always had time to talk and share. One of my fond memories is bringing my sons to Ohio to see snow. You had every type of sled for us to ride down the hills at Metro Park. What a great time for us all! You don't realize what an important leaf you are on our family tree. You have kept me connected to my home town, my nieces and nephew, and friends. It will not be the same without you. I will miss you my brother, my friend.

My Mother-in-Law, Nancy Yerger, lives in the same complex as John did. Whenever I visited, he always made me smile (mostly laugh). He was a very funny man and a very caring man! I will miss seeing him when I visit @Sunnybrook and hold his family in my prayers. The Lord has taken him home and now we have another angel looking over us. God Bless all.
