Condolence & Memory Journal

I appreciated Robert's positive attitude and friendliness. He made you happy to see him. And the parties he and Susan generously hosted allowed us to get to know our colleagues better.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Susan and Robert's family. Robert interviewed me for a position at Kent State. Our meeting was like finding a long lost relative. Over the years, I have thought of him often. May your memories provide comfort.

My thoughts are with Robert's family. I had the opportunity to work with Robert as a doctoral student and I am very grateful for his guidance and rigor that helped me launch a successful career in academia.

Thoughts and prayers to Susan and your children and extended family. I will be forever grateful to Robert for sharing his experience, expertise, and joy for exploring with me. Peace, prayers and blessings. I had the pleasure of working with Robert at Kent State. Robert always had a smile to help brighten your day and his up beat personality will always be remembered. He will be greatly missed.

We will always remember Robert from sharing the row at the KSU women's basketball games. He would have really enjoyed this season.

Susan & family
I am so sad to hear that Robbie passed away. I will remember him fondly. I cherished all the Goeke family parties at Uncle Hanks house, where he was an older cousin that I admired. He was always kind to me. You are all in my prayers.

My deepest condolences to Susan and the rest of the family. Robert taught me so much about research - if it weren't for him, I would not be where I am today. He was incredibly intelligent, analytical, and had tremendous writing skills. More than that, he was a loyal advocate, mentor and friend, and I will forever be grateful for all that he did for me and my family. May our Good Lord bless and comfort you, Susan and Family, during this time of such loss.

Susan, Katherine, and Jesse, and family,

My deepest sympathies. Robert was an amazing person, I cherished the time that I spent with Robert and all of the knowledge he shared. He helped me to build an amazing bookcase, which 20 years later is still standing. Every time I pull a book of the shelf, I think of Robert and his wonderful wife Susan.

Thank you for sharing him with all of us.

Love and prayers to all of you.
