I knew him and liked him very much. He baptized my only child (Brody) at Mentor.

Dear Shilling Family,
So sorry for your loss. I remember Rev. Shilling as a kind, gentle man. He will be greatly missed. Justus United Methodist Church

Don was my pastor at Justus during my college years. He was the first to encourage me to enter the ministry - "The people at the church are praying for you to consider being a minister." He was a serious scholar and had a great sense of humor. He was a great comfort to those he knew and served. I value and treasure his friendship and support. My thoughts and prayers are with Waneta, Mark, Phillip and the family

Uncle Don was always the calm in the storm. Steadfast in his faith he was an example to be remembered and followed. It was always a pleasure to be around my Uncle Don and I hope to be half the man he was.

Uncle Don was a gracious, kind, loving uncle who was always there for you. He was always easy to talk with, and you always walked away from him with a smile on your face and completely at ease. Uncle Don will be greatly missed but fondly remembered. May he rest in peace.

With Love,
Cathy

I attend the same church as Don did. It will be strange not seeing him in church again and not being able to tease him about getting a walking stick. He will be sadly missed, but he knew where he was going and we know where he went. We will all see you again someday, Don. I hope that knowledge is a comfort to Waneta and her sons. Rest in peace, Don.
