Just a few more words about Jack. He was talented - academically, athletically, socially and musically. He was a good friend to me, caring and giving. Many people with those talents and, at a relatively young age, would not find the space to be a friend to a guy like me. "J-Babe", as Jack liked to be called, could and did.

Hello everyone. I send my sincerest sympathy for Jack's passing. However, may you all celebrate a long and full and successful life he lived of which you are all a part. ..Wow how time flies.. I first met Jack's mother as my kindergarten teacher whom I had the pleasure of having again as my second grade teacher. I liked her both times. I met John (Jr) in middle school choir. Through John I met his mom and sisters, and Jack

We were so sorry to hear of Jack's passing! We loved him as a teacher and as a devoted friend of Tom Sr. For years- golfing buddies! A fun, kind and special man.

Jack was a very good friend of my mom Jeanne Beck-Wervey. I remember having your family over to our home for dinner. I think my mom served pasta for the meal.

I think my best memory was having Mr. Hurd, as the director of the Fall Festival Chorus. We would practice once a week at Suffield United Church of Christ. It was amazing how he could take a group of people, and transform our voices into a beautiful work of

The Duke family lived on Willow Street. I was just a baby but our paths crossed again when I got to Davey Jr and Roosevelt. He was a funny guy and I thought the world of him.

I learned to know Jack when my Brimfield class went to Kent State University High School for grades 10 through 12.

We worked together with others on our reunions the past 20 or so years.

I always enjoyed talking with him as I was a high school teacher.

He is missed.

Jack and I were fraternity brothers at KSU and he was responsible for much of my progress and maturing while there. We also got into some minor trouble together! He led our fraternity to several 1st place finishes in the annual SongFest competition but because of my vocal "skill" Jack asked that I only mouth the words. When my sweetheart and I married in 1957 Jack was Best Man. I grew up in Ravenna and, perhaps naturally, was not a

I am so sorry to read of Jack's passing. The world would be a much better place if there were more like him.
Jack was one of the first people to welcome me to Davey Jr. High. He came up to me, introduced himself, welcomed me to the staff, and told me if there was ANYTHING that he could help me with just to let him know. From that point on he called me " Bob-O ". I am very appreciative
